Faculty/Preceptor responsibilities:

In general, 2-3 faculty will take primary responsibility for each clerkship student.  Students are with us for 4 weeks.  When you are the main faculty, you will generally work with the student 1-3 half days/ week in your own clinic.  Other faculty may fill in at various times, but you will be their primary faculty.

            Responsibilities

1.  Teach during clinic sessions when student is assigned to work with you.  (See course description for specific expectations)
2. Problem solve scheduling and other issues with Lynn Gannaway and others.  Be an advocate for the student.  If the student has a particular interest that is family medicine relevant, it is fine to facilitate adjustments in the schedule. 
3. Fill out evaluations (evaluation information)
4. Support enthusiasm about family medicine and primary care.
